VENDOR’S FOREWORD
The Rowlestone herd is being dispersed because, as we approach our 60s, with the next
generation having found alternative career paths, there is a patent need to reinvest in our facility
both for milking and to counter the environmental challenges that prevail.
The cows are predominantly homebred and of Friesian Holstein orientation with a degree
of crossbreeding to convey easier management traits and hybrid vigour. These have been
supplemented with purchases from other herds as and when required to maintain numbers.
